The Costa Rica fishing report from JP Sportfishing from last week shows that one of the boats got out and raised 4 dorados, 3 Sailfish and 1 Striped Marlin, and ended up releasing 2 of the dorados (mahi mahi), 2 sailfish releases and even caught and released the striped marlin. The fishing reports will only get better for the next few months.
Costa Rica Fishing Report
The Costa Rica Fishing season is just about ready to kick off. The peak season is usually from December through May, but great fishing can happen year round. The billfish bite starts a little earlier down south near Golfito and then move north along the coast to the Manuel Antonio and Quepos area. Los Suenos also gets in in on the action about the same time as Manuel Antonio and Quepos. The season is extended up north near Tamarindo and fishing can be excellent through May.
I will update the Costa Rica fishing reports as the season pics up, with some excellent captains getting out there everyday, the reports should be entertaining.
